The deadliest airline disaster in South Korea in the last 30 years. Flight 7C2216 with 175 passengers and 6 crew members crashed on Sunday in the Muan International Airport in the south of South Korea. Out of 181 people, only two crew members were alive with severe injuries. Both living crew members were sitting in the plane’s tail.
In a local media video, it is visible that the Boeing 737-800 (Flight 7C2216) was skidding on the runway with no visible landing gears. It is hard to recognize the plane as only the tail is left and the rest of the plane is burnt.
Investigators are now examining all the possible factors of the disasters such as bird collisions, weather, landing gear problems, etc. Authorities have also sealed the area to recover the bodies. Family members gathered near the accident location with the eyes full of tears and asked media people not to shoot the videos or take photos.
