U.S. President Donald Trump has turned to the military for the deportation of illegal migrants living in the USA. The U.S. military’s C-17 aircraft is chosen to deport illegal Indian migrants to India. In the next 24 hours, the deported migrants will reach India as per Reuters.

In total, they have identified 18,000 illegal Indian migrants for deportation. The Pentagon has also started providing flights to deport illegal immigrants to their country.

As per the 2022, Homeland Security report approx. 2,20,000 Indians are illegally living in the USA. This number is only 3% of the total illegal migrants in the USA, most of them came from neighboring/Latin American countries such as Mexico, Venezuela, and Guatemala.

Illegal Indian migrants mostly come from the Northern border of the USA as most of the Indians are living in Canada which is the only country that shares the longest northern border with the USA.

Last month also Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal mentioned that “We are again illegal immigration because there is a high possibility that it can be linked to an organized crime.

According to a Reuters report military deportation is expensive as the last deportation to Guatemala cost $4,675 per migrant.
Illegal Indian migrants could be the point of discussion between Indian PM Narendra Modi and U.S. President Donald Trump during Modi’s 2 days visit to the U.S. starting from February 12.
