Donald Trump’s administration has recently cut all funding for Maine’s Public Schools for not banning transgender athletes from girls’ and women’s sports.

Officials said the state had received $250 million in such funding and they are initiating administrative proceedings to terminate the state’s K12 education funding.

Donald Trump, in his past meetings with governors, threatened to cut all the funding from Maine if they would not comply with his order to ban transgenders from girls and women’s sports.

Recently, in the Paris Olympics 2024, a transgender woman Imane Khelif won the gold medal after beating Thailand’s Janjaem Suwannapheng in the women’s boxing finals. She was banned by the International Boxing Association in 2023 from playing in Women’s Sports but the International Olympic Committee allowed her to compete in the Paris Olympics 2024 after giving the excuse for her past women’s sports participation.

Even after winning the gold medal in the Paris Olympics 2024, Imane was criticized all over the world for participating in women’s sports.

This time Trump administration has taken strict action to ban transgender from Women’s and girls’ sports as they have biological advantage and also to prevent injuries.
