Rudrankksh Patil bagged a gold medal in the ongoing Shooting World Cup after defeating seven-time Shooting World Cup gold medalist Istvan Marton.
This is the second gold medal for India, the first one was won by Sift Kaur Samra in women rifle 3-position event.
Rudrankksh defeated several other gold medallists in this championship and gave neck-to-neck competition to former champion Istvan.
In the last two shots, Rudrankksh shot 10.4 and 10.8, while Istvan also scored the same in the last two shots 10.6 and 10.6 but Rudrankksh was having previous shots edge due to which he defeated Istvan and bagged gold.
India is currently in the No. 1 position with two golds, a silver and a bronze along with China. The USA is in second place with two golds and a silver. Hungary holds third place with a gold and a silver, both from Istvan.
