The second-largest economy in the world China has blamed the U.S. for forcing countries to decrease their Chinese trade.
Chinese ministry spokesperson has said that the U.S. has imposed reciprocal tariffs and for the relaxation in tariffs, the Trump administration is forcing countries to decrease their trade with China.
Recently, U.S. trade representative Jamieson Greer told the media that almost 50 countries have reached out to him to discuss the recently imposed tariffs.
Several bilateral talks are going on and Japan and Indonesia are has given signals for importing more goods from the U.S.
Japan has increased its soybean and rice import from the U.S. as part of talks and Indonesia has increased its import of U.S. food and commodities and they have decreased their orders from other countries.
This action from both the countries are giving strong signals that U.S. is forcing other nations to decrease their Chinese trade.
In response to the U.S. action, the Chinese ministry has said “China is determined and capable of safeguarding its rights and interests and is willing to strengthen solidarity with all parties.”
Chinese President Xi Jinping has also started discussions with ASIAN countries to overcome imposed tariffs.
